Industries Health & Public

Systems inside real constraints: procurement, legacy data, and a four-hour change window.

In short

Health and public-sector systems cannot stop for a rewrite. The old system stays live, the data stays where the law says, and a release window may come a few times a year. We modernise in place, with the migration rehearsed and the rollback tested.

Health & Public: Systems inside real constraints: procurement, legacy data, and a four-hour change window.
What we see

The problems this sector brings

  • Legacy interfaces nobody owns and nobody may switch off
  • Data that cannot leave a jurisdiction or a boundary
  • Release windows measured in hours, a few times a year
How we work

What we do about them

  • Strangler-pattern migration with the legacy path live throughout
  • Data residency and access boundaries designed before the schema
  • Rehearsed cutovers with a tested rollback, not a hopeful one

What we build

Systems we build for health & public

  1. 01

    Legacy modernization

Strangler-pattern migrations that move one function at a time while the old system keeps running.

  2. 02

    Records and case systems

Web applications over sensitive records, with access controls and an audit trail for every view and change.

  3. 03

    Document processing

Extraction from forms, scans and letters, with a person reviewing anything the system is unsure of.

  4. 04

    Integration layers

APIs in front of older systems, so new services can be built without touching the core.

Questions

Health & Public: common questions

Can you work within data-residency rules?

Yes. Where data may be stored and processed is decided before the schema, and the infrastructure is defined as code so the boundary can be shown to an auditor.

Can AI be used on sensitive records?

Sometimes. It depends on the data, the provider's terms and your policy. We tell you which provider would receive what, and design so a person reviews anything consequential.

How do you release into a short change window?

By rehearsing the cutover on a copy of production, timing it, and testing the rollback as carefully as the release.
